The Mackie Control Universal is a motorized MIDI based mini control surface, designed for use with your digital audio workstation. It is nice and small and is perfect for controlling your basic functions without having to control everything inside the box. This controller has a single fader, transport buttons like rewind, fast forward, stop, pla...
The Mackie HMX-56 is a six channel headphone mixer, primarily designed for use in the studio. I only used one of these for the first time recently as I started working with a new producer who has this in his studio for headphone monitoring. I think that this is a somewhat new product from Mackie, but I'm not sure about this. Previously I had ...
Despite claims that Mackie make about not having to buy a matched pair, the quality control of these units is such that they can have an hugely different sonic response, meaning they are useless in a studio environment, and as such those claims are misleading. Loudtechnic (the parent company) has the worst aftersales care I have ...
I purchased the Mackie Thmp 15A’s a while ago so I can make the switch to active lightweight speakers instead the heavy passive ones. I currently DJ a small restaurant/lounge with an average of 50-80 people and gave these a run with some hip-hop and dance music. These speakers are light, and the sound quality that comes out of these is quite im...
overall. Other than that, to say I am happy with this purchase would be the understatement of the year!
This is a no frills unit. It does what it's supposed to and does it well. Mackie doesn't pile on a bunch of half baked features that you won't ever really use. They make a solid bare bones product that's built to work for years. If you want a good studio mixer for your daw, this is my pick. Hasn't given me any trouble and sounds great. Don...
