This is a nice choice for someone on a budget, or a pro that needs a backup for their more expensive main guitar. For the pricing, this offers a lot of style, playability, and tone. Check it out - it's worth a look if you find one in a store near you.
The Sweet 16 is nothing new in terms of the amp world. Just a 16 watt all tube single channel head. You have all the normal controls you would expect. Oh there's a bright switch. But I almost never use it. Overall one of the simplest amps I've had in a while. Kind of refreshing after playing so many channel switchers. I tour...
I would recommend this guitar to anyone who is not on budget and wants someone of the best tone you can get out of a guitar. This guitar will give you that is spades. They come in new for right at around $700, which is actually a good price for a PRS guitar. So this is the budget friendly for PRS standards, but not budget for mine.
These guitars have been discontinued for a while but Paul Reed Smith does have some newer models available that basically are exactly the same body style as this instrument. I suggest going with one of those or if you're really looking for something used and you might be off on one of these on the classified sections of forms or auction ...
This is the good kind of signature guitar. Bernie actually plays these unlike a lot of PRS endorsers. A lot of them have PRS SE signature models but play the made in the USA model. Bernie says this guitar is absolutely fine and he gigs with it. It does not have any crazy markings on it that make it stand out either. Just the Bernie Marsden signa...
Just like a real Dragon I think the PRS Dragon I pickups are pretty mythical beasts. It is pretty hard to find a guitar with them now that PRS has not used them for a while. These pickups are something special. They have four conductor wiring so you can split the coils. This is useful for all the older PRS guitars with rotary pickup selectors. T...
If you are looking to get a PRS you should see if you can find a CU model for cheap. Nowadays you can get these guitars for less than 1000 USD. That puts them close to the price of a new PRS SE and they are a lot more guitar than a PRS SE. I think finding a CU model used is the best way to get into a real American made PRS guitar. A guitar like...
Overall, I feel that this is one of the best deals in a sub-$1000 level guitar. It sounds great, plays great, and it looks very nice as well. Also, this could be a great stage guitar or backup for someone with a more expensive PRS, as one needn't worry as much about battle scars! Recommended.
You can find PRS guitars pretty frequently because there are very highly used instrument out there in the music world. I would suggest that you play these guitars first before buying so I would immediately cancel any type of online situation. These guitars can vary from feel to feel and guitar to guitar so getting the right one is very i...
All in all, this is a great guitar. The one thing I could do without was the big gothic O logo on the face of the guitar. It seems like so many metal bands' import signature guitar has some sort of readily identifiable at distance band logo plastered onto it, and I'm not a fan of the idea - it just seems tacky to me. Other than that, this guitar...
