Ya this thing is great, i just gotta get some new faders Originally posted on FutureProducers.com Posted by: wasteman ( 7-, 2005)
Pretty simple.... one input (phono/line), one output, 3 rotary freq. knob kills + 3 instant kill switches, and a bypass switch. that's all.... Price paid 180$ very good sounding unit!!! tho the S/N-R is a bit high (generaly, and compared to a set of EQKillers), the overall sound is very good!!! the boosting...
Sooo much pitch control you can mix ANYTHING into ANYTHING (+/- 60%) And strong tone arm for wicked scratching Price paid £338 Full of treble, picks up pretty much every sound on any record Very easy to use a baby could I haven't broken anything after 2 months, and i'm a clumsy foo...
The features are innovative and precise... the straight arm is well suited for the mixologists and the obvious scratch dj. 10% and the ulta pitch, and clever pop up light very intelligent. brake adjustement is useul for extraordinary tricks, and if the start is set to the fastest u can cue witout useing ure palm... Price paid ...
I loved this mixer except for the sound quality. no matter what eq config i had theres just not enough high end and the bass is way too droney and hollow...not thumpy at all. Originally posted on FutureProducers.com Posted by: Unknown ( 4-, 2002)
The tonearm is solid and dope, never skips. The pitch control could be more precise, but dope. I love the raised platter and the torque can't be beat. Price paid 400$ Don't have good speakers, but I'd give it a good sound quality seeing as if you don't like it you can change the RCA's. But the straight tone...
I wouldn't trust it for a world tour, but I've had it for a few smaller gigs and it's stood up to abuse really well. The buttons feel great, and my only nag on it is that the knob on the crossfader tends to feel a little loose from time to time. I never use the crossfader though, so for me that's no problem. I've contacted their customer support...
I love this mixer a lot. When I change mixers in the future, it'll probably be to another Vestax even though I was initially aspiring to a Rane TTM56. You can definitely spend more money and get extra features, but if you're a hip-hop DJ, the bells and whistles that some mixers offer are basically irrelevant. But yeah, this mixer definitely does...
